The Hokuriku Shinkansen Line has extended to Kaga Onsen. The extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen is was completed in the spring of 2024, making Yamashiro Onsen even more accessible from major transportion hubs. Shinkansen bullet trains stop at Kaga Onsen Station, the nearest station to Yamashiro Onsen, shortening the travel time between Kanazawa Station and Kaga Onsen Station by approximately 30 minutes.
