Yamashiro Onsen is the perfect sightseeing base for taking in the history and culture of Hokuriku.
Kanazawa, Eiheiji, and Shirakawa-go can all be reached within a day trip from Yamashiro Onsen. Furthermore, the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen has been completed in the spring of 2024, making Yamashiro Onsen even more accessible from major transport hubs. Shinkansen bullet trains now stop at Kaga Onsen Station, the nearest station to Yamashiro Onsen, shortening the travel time between Kanazawa Station and Kaga Onsen Station by approximately 30 minutes.
It takes 3.5 hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen, about 2.5 hours from Osaka, and about 2 hours from Kyoto. The journey time from Tokyo will be shortened to 3 hours once the Hokuriku Shinkansen line extension is completed.
Please check the latest transportation information before departure.
Renting a car from Kanazawa, Maibara or Komatsu Airport is also convenient. By car, Yamashiro Onsen is 1 hour from Kanazawa, 2 hours from Maibara by expressway, and 30 minutes from Komatsu Airport.
